Office Location: Flexible

Overall purpose: Delivering a professional, responsive, high quality service to our clients ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the Firm and by regulatory bodies.  To act as an ambassador for the Firm at all times, actively promoting its services.

 Key accountabilities:

  • Manage a varied client caseload including; advising on aspects of probate, will drafting, tax planning and estate administration and including powers of attorney, advising on all aspects of trusts, including lifetime, will trusts and elderly client trusts, draft, administration and taxation issues
  • Deal directly with clients, their families and carers along with other third parties such as medical experts and case managers
  • Deliver high quality and sympathetic client care and to build a good rapport with existing clients and attract new clients.

Ideal candidate:

  • 3+ years PQE in Private Client
  • STEP Qualified – Desirable not essential
  • Able to commute to Windemere
  • Friendly & Approachable
  • Wanting to make a positive different through their legal work

We are looking for a residential conveyancing Solicitor or Legal Executive, to join our small team based in beautiful Windermere.

Overall purpose:      To handle a full caseload of files from inception to completion with minimum supervision and keeping all work to a high standard within the Residential Conveyancing department.  Also delivering a professional, responsive, high quality service to our clients ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the Firm and by regulatory bodies.  To act as an ambassador for the Firm at all times, actively promoting its services.

Key accountabilities:

  • To run a case load of residential conveyancing files from onset to conclusion therefore experience in conveyancing is essential
  • Deal with Purchase, Transfer, Re Mortgage and Sale transactions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all of our Clients
  • Also liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders and Solicitors

Office Location:  Rural Auction Centre, Crooklands, Milnthorpe, Cumbria

Contract:  Permanent, open to both full time and part time

Overall purpose:  Delivering a professional, responsive, high quality service to our clients ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the Firm and by regulatory bodies.  To act as an ambassador for the Firm at all times, actively promoting its services.

Key accountabilities:

  • Working on a diverse range of agricultural matters including but not limited to;
    • Sale and purchase of farms and land
    • Agricultural landlord and tenant issues
    • Partnership agreements
    • Granting and advising on easements
    • Advising on overage agreements, option agreements and rights of pre-emption
    • First registrations
    • Sporting rights
    • Renewable energy
  • Generally representing and providing advice and support to our Clients within the agricultural setting.

Ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience within an agricultural property setting (however, opportunities to retrain in this area from someone with a general commercial property or residential property background will be considered)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Able to commute to the Rural Auction Centre in Crooklands (just off Junction 36 of the M6 motorway)
  • Friendly & approachable
  • Ability to deal with a cross-section of clients, from farmers to landowners and estate owners and other HNW individuals
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Wanting to make a positive difference through their legal work
